Die allerersten eigenen Socken. 3fädig gesponnen aus selbergefärbtem Cheviot in türkis-grün-blau, ratzfatz gestrickt mit 5mm Nadeln nach Feegle Sockenrezept. Natürlich hatte ich wieder mal keine Ahnung, wieviel Garn ich für so was brauche, hab also ein Knäul gewickelt und nach Gewicht erst mal einen Socken von innen und dann einen von außen angefangen (Knitpicks sind da nett, frau kann das eine Kabel einfach drin lassen und die Spitzen weiter verwenden) Die Bündchen hab ich dann abwechselnd gestrickt bis das Garn weg war. Aus der Färbeküche ans Rad und von den Nadeln in 4 Tagen.Was soll ich sagen, ich liebe sie!
Die Socken sind dick, robust, halten meine Füße sogar im tiefsten Winter warm (jaaaa, ich hab wirklich lange nichts mehr gebloggt ;-)) und sehen auch noch gut aus. Nur eins ist schwierig, sie mal ne Nacht nicht anzuhaben weil sie frisch gewaschen auf der Leine hängen...

My very first self-made socks. 3ply yarn from Cheviot I dyed turquoise-green-blue, quickly knit up with 5mm needles after the Feegle sock recipe. Of course I again had no clue how much yarn this would take, so I wound a ball and by weight started the one sock from the inside and the other from the outside (Knitpicks are great for that, you can just leave the cable in and use the points elsewhere). I knit the leg alternately until the yarn was used up. From the dye kitchen to wheel and off the needles in 4 days.
And what shall I say, I love them!
The socks are thick, sturdy, keep my feet warm even in the depth of winter (jaaa, I really do have quite a backlog when it comes to blogging ;-)) and they even look good. Just one thing is difficult, to not wear them for a night while they hang freshly washed on the line to dry...
