White Box

Seit ich spinne und meine Begeisterung dafür mit anderen teilen möchte hab ich ein Problem: schöne Photos hin bekommen.
Eine nette Kamera hilft ganz ungemein, aber das ist leider nicht genug. Irgendwie war immer das Licht falsch, der Weißabgleich, die Farben nicht richtig,... bäh! Was hab ich nicht probiert, Nordfenster, Südfenster, Kunstlicht verschiedener Quellen, direkt, indirekt beleuchtet, doch mal mit Blitz? Ich hab einfache Lichtboxen gebaut, die tatsächlich etwas bessere Ergebnisse brachten, aber die waren für meine riesigen Wollberge zu klein.
Die Lösung ist super einfach:

Das ist nur ein Stück Styropor unter dem Vorhang, weil man sonst die Kratzer auf dem Heizkörper durch sieht und es gibt mir etwas mehr Grundfläche. Weißabgleich wird jedesmal neu gemacht, je nach Sonnenstand kann das ziemlich Unterschiede machen. Ohne weitere Anstrengung werden die Bilder richtig gut. Endlich!

Since I'm spinning and trying to share my enthusiasm with others I've had a problem: to make pretty photos.
A nice camera helps a lot, but that's sadly not enough. Somehow the light was always wrong, the white balance, the colors not correct,... bah! I tried a lot, north window, south window, artificial light of different sources, direct and indirect lighting, or with flash after all? I built simple light boxes that really did make a difference, but usually they're too small for my mountains of wool.
The solution is super easy.
That's a piece of styrofoam under the curtain, otherwise the scratches on the heater would be visible and it gives me a bigger surface to work on. The white balance is set new every time as it can make quite a difference depending on where the sun is. But without any further effort the photos turn out real nice. Finally!
